Bookings, balances and crossing the road

3.9.2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Croeso nôl. Two days in and the school is buzzing again. The teachers all tell me the same thing: everyone has settled, ready to work and pleased to see each other. Our youngest pupils have found their pegs, their classroom and their teachers. The older ones picked straight up again. Thank you for getting them ready for the year ahead.

Three things to share with you.

Booking Breakfast Club and Clwb y Gollen

  • Book and pay in advance. A place must be booked before your child attends.
  • Arriving without a booking builds a debt on your account. A number of families are in this position at the moment.
  • Both clubs only run if payments come in on time. If a balance stays unpaid, we may have to refuse a place.
  • If money is tight, speak to me in confidence. We would far rather sort a problem out than turn a child away.

Your balance

Over the next day or two I will move last year's Breakfast Club and Clwb y Gollen debts and credits across, so your balance may look different when you next log in. Check your balance before you book. If a figure looks wrong, let us know and we will check it with you.

Crossing the road

This morning we came close to a serious accident outside school. Adults and children were crossing between parked cars. There is a pelican crossing right outside for all of us to use. Use it, every time, even when it takes you an extra minute. The road is busy, and a driver cannot see a small child stepping out from between two parked vehicles. We were lucky this morning. We might not be next time.

Diolch yn fawr am eich cefnogaeth. It makes a difference, and the children notice.

Yours sincerely,

Gwyn Pleming
